One of the largest NYCDOE Projects to date, the Glen Oaks School Campus, carved from a corner of the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, was developed on 19.3 acres at 78-70 Grand Central Parkway North. The three schools, which serve more than 2,500 students, were completed in 23 months under a well-executed design-build plan. About 275 teachers and staff work in the schools. This one of the hundreds Of NYCDOE projects that ITC has participated in as a Temperature Control Contractor.

Standing six stories high, the new Ambulatory Care Pavilion at Queens Hospital Center, features vibrant, welcoming exam rooms and accommodates the hospital’s primary care, pediatric, psychiatry, ophthalmology and dentistry clinics, behavioral health clinics, day programs, staff education areas, administrative offices and the Diabetes Center of Excellence. The center will better serve an increased number of patients and expects more than 135,000 patient visits annually. This one of many Hospitals in the NYC Area that ITC has participated in the construction of and continues to service today.
The nine-story school, serving 950 students from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade (including 100 seats in 10 classrooms for special education students) will be constructed under the working name of P.S. 276. As part of the city’s new “green development” initiative, the school building will be the first in the city built under the New York City Green Schools Rating System. ITC is pleased to be installing a Lon based BMS system for this new school.
Built by Metropolitan Life for returning veterans in 1947, Peter Cooper Village and Stuyvesant Town is a vast corridor of 110 apartment buildings with a total of 11,232 units, constructed along the East River. In 2006, ITC was awarded the $28.3 million controls contract for these properties, one of the largest contracts in the temperature controls industry’s history. ITC is in the process of obtaining a global patent for an innovative discovery made during this project.

ITC is installing a web-based Building Management System (BMS) that is controlling the primary heating and cooling system.
